Privacy Policy

You are important to us, and therefore your privacy is as well.

Our principles:

  • First and foremost, we will treat you as we would like to be treated ourselves. We may not always get it right but that’s the goal.
  • We don’t ask you for personal information unless we actually need it, to provide you with services, to make what we provide better, or to operate our business.
  • We don’t share your personal information with third parties except to comply with the law, develop our products, or to operate a business that tries its best to always stand in your shoes.
  • We don’t store personal information on our servers unless needed for the operation of our services or to make our services better.
  • We aim to make it simple as possible for you to control what’s kept private, shared and permanently deleted, and are always seeking to keep getting better at this.
  • We’re not perfect but we try to earn your trust every day, by being competent, thoughtful and empathetic.

Below is our privacy policy which incorporates these goals: (our thanks to Automattic, Inc. for making this privacy policy available under a Creative Commons Sharealike license, which served as the inspiration for the Sisterical Privacy Policy).

This policy govern all use of the Sisterical Apps, and all Sisterical content, services and products available at or through the Apps (taken together, the Apps or the Sisterical Apps).

If you have questions about deleting or correcting your personal data please contact our support team.

Aggregated Statistics

Sisterical may collect statistics about the behavior of users of the Apps. For instance, Sisterical may monitor the most popular third-party apps linked to in the Sisterical Apps, or use spam screened by the Akismet service to help identify spam. Sisterical may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Sisterical will not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Other General App Usage

Like most app developers, Sisterical may collect non-personally- identifying information of the sort that clients and servers typically make available, such as the operating system type, the date and time of each request, and app analytics. Sisterical’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how users are using the Apps. From time to time, Sisterical may release non-personally- identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in usage. Sisterical also may collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, location information, push notification tokens, app identifiers, device identifiers, and other identifiers made available through the operating system provider. Sisterical would only use and disclose this type of information under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses actually personally-identifying information as described below.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Users of Sisterical Apps may choose to interact with Apps in ways that require Sisterical to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Sisterical gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we may ask users to provide an email address and photograph. Those who engage in transactions with Sisterical – by purchasing subscription services, for example – are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. Users may be sharing other personal information with Sisterical as well. In each case, Sisterical collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the user’s interaction with Sisterical Apps, enhance the services provided to the user or otherwise operate our business.

Sisterical does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain App-related activities.

Sisterical discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Sisterical’s behalf or to provide services available through Sisterical Apps, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using Sisterical Apps, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. Sisterical will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations (as described above), Sisterical discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when Sisterical believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Sisterical, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of a Sisterical App and have supplied your email address, Sisterical may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with Sisterical and our products. We expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it without personally-identifying information in order to help clarify or respond to your request or to help support other users. Sisterical takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
